Minutes of Monthly Meeting of 8th September 2016
Nigg Police Station

Present:  Nigg CC: Chair, Alan Strachan, James Brownhill, Greg Strange, Jan Harby, Debra McDonald, Gordon Anderson. Clrs: Andy Finlayson, Stephen Flynn. Aberdeen Journals (EE): Lee McCann.  Police Scotland: Insp Stephen McEwan

Item 1 – Opening -   Vice Chair welcomed attendees.
Item 2 – Minutes & Agenda -   Gordon Anderson pointed out that he is an elected member of Nigg CC and that minutes of previous months should be corrected to indicate that.  Otherwise minutes of meeting of 11th August accepted.
Item 3 – Police Report –  Due to workload at the time the Police Report was submitted informally at end of meeting with no supporting crime figure.  Problems of motorbikes briefly discussed.
Item 4 – Mail -  Incoming
12 Aug ACC Sara Phimister Invite attend meeting ref new Academy on a date mid-September yet to be announced.  Nigg CC to respond accepting invite.
17 Aug LIDLSusanne Martin looking for letter of support of company’s new store on Greenwell Road
17 Aug ACC Mark Masson request for name of Nigg CC person to speak at Public Hearing ref Energy from Waste on 24 August.  Alan S to be that person.
24 Aug ACC Planning Paul Williamson letter to advise of Planning Approval for P160246 Cove Rangers Stadium Calder Park.
31 Aug ACC Karen Rennie Note of Temp’ Traffic Order for closure of Redmoss Raod 19-25 Sept.

 23 Aug ACC Planning Lucy Greene raising objection ref PA151878 Boyne Villa.
Item 5 - Planning Matters
Boyne Villa Development. Developer requested withdrawal of PA151878Planning Condition 1 (no operations of business on site till after completion of AWPR) based on improved safety measuresin form of 20mph speed limit being raised by AWPR developer during construction phase. 
Resident raised concern of felling of plantation trees on Redmoss Road close to Academy construction site.  Alan S had investigated and only one third of trees being felled, vaguely but not definitively in line with plans.
Jan H reported further Academy construction traffic using Redmoss Road.Action  Clr Andy F to enquire if ACC Roads Dept to send representative to next Nigg CC meeting
PA151924 Clachan Field infill last month indicated verbally had been approved with conditions on drainage, but ACC Planning App website still indicated undetermined.  Action  Clr Andy F to confirm status.
Past ACC meeting ref Energy from Waste Plant, only 16 out of 43 elected members present.  Presentations from various bodies.
Item 6 – Roads
Discussed under various Planning Applications Incoming Correspondence.
Item 7 AOB –  Chairman Alan S indicated that he would be considering leaving Nigg CC as of 31st December 2016.
