Minutes of Monthly Meeting 9th November 2017 at Nigg Police Station

Correction to minutes 09/11/2017. Should read Notes as no quorum for meeting.

3 No representative from Police Scotland.

4 Mail; incoming, 1 Abdul Rahim (Centre for Good Relations) Invite to discuss mediation as to why 4 Community Councils walked away from EFW stakeholder meetings. Alan Strachan and James Brownhill attended, awaiting report. 2, Bob McKinney (Police Scotland) Info on Hate Crime Awareness Campaign. 3, Karen Finch (ACC) Info re Stagecoach timetable consultation. Feedback by 15/11/2017. 4, Bob McKinney (Police Scotland) Neighbourhood Watch info re bogus caller incidents. Police welcome public’s assistance. 13 bogus calls incidents, man arrested. 5, Police Scotland, Neighbourhood Watch info re Drink Driving Offences. Highlighted as festive season approaches, persistent nos continue to drink and drive. 6, Stephen Flynn (ACC) re site noise from Calder Park. Mark Nicol Environment Officer- visited site, complainant contacted and to update if further noise. 7, Stephen Flynn (ACC) info re Newton of Charleston southbound bus stop. Some residents walking 2km to bus stop. Still awaiting location of temp stop. S Flynn continuing to action. 8, Lord Provost Barney Crockett (ACC) Invite to attend ceremony-Freedom of City to Dennis Law, Alan Strachan to attend. 9, Police Scotland, re Netflix fisching scam.

Alex Nicol (ACC) Re bus stop nos. Aberdeenshire council carry this out for Aberdeen City. Chris Cormack reply; Up to date info on timetable at stop. Takes time to change flags at stop, inform him of any outstanding changes required.

Mail; out, acceptance of offer to meet mediation team 19th Oct.

5; Planning; NIL

6; Roads; Alex Nicoll informed us that results of report by council officers re Safe Routes To School have been given and decisions should be made on Thursday 16th October when Education and Children’s Services committee meets the council. Committee should be able to give indicative decisions. Infrastructure may need to change. He explained that the committee is made up of councillors and seven non elected members.

7; Nigg CC Website, Gordon continues to work on it.

AOCB; Nigg Viewpoint; Re council upkeep of site, no action to date.- AN to action.

Query as to what the policy is for roadside grass verge cutting.

Signage to get into Redmoss Road from A90 is inadequate.

Boyne Villa ; escalated to Director and Head of Service. Aware of work needed to alleviate problems.

Next meeting 14th December at Nigg Police Station.
